Each officer is recruited to perform a specific role and each role is carefully specified to ensure a thorough understanding of the skills and aptitudes required.
Requirements for uniformed security officers
In the case of Uniformed Security Officers, all applicants must be:
Physically and mentally capable of undertaking every duty associated with the position for which they apply
In all cases, thoroughly screened for clearance to commence their employment
Initial interviews and references
Initial interviews will be conducted by a manager at Intacept Security and - where appropriate - a shortlist of suitable candidates will be prepared. The company offers an opportunity for all prospective customers to attend the final interview of the applicants and have input into the final selection.

Current vacancies
Relief Security Officer, North and South Cambridgeshire
Intacept Security are an SIA Approved Contractor seeking Security Officers (SIA Licenced) to join an established team assisting with security cover on our customer sites located in the Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Huntingdon areas. A flexible approach is required to cover shifts as and when required and at short notice.
Hours
Various 12 hour shifts as and when required, covering Monday – Sunday, day and night.
Rate of pay
£11.94 per hour
Duties include, but are not limited, to:

Providing a professional security presence
-
Acting as a deterrent to protect customers, property and staff
-
Locking / unlocking areas as specified within assignment instructions

Access / egress control
-
Conducting internal and external patrols to ensure perimeter of premises is secure
-
Following emergency procedures and liaising with emergency services as required
-
Completing reports and paperwork in accordance with assignment instructions

Answering telephone
-
Some computer work and admin duties
-
Abiding with health & safety regulations
-

Requirements for the role:

A valid SIA licence
-
A full valid driving licence

Excellent written and communication skills

Computer literacy

Organisation and an ability to work on own initiative

Working as part of a team of security officers

Following assignment instructions and carry out duties as required by the customer
